The new halogen detector uses a more advanced probe that requires 60 seconds of preheating during startup, resulting in higher measurement accuracy compared to the old model. It is important to note that during the preheating process, do not touch the sensor or press the buttons on the product, as this action may cause false data. It is recommended to keep it still or hold it in your hand during the preheating process and not perform any other operations
The airflow causes drastic temperature changes in the probe, and the sensor (semiconductor/infrared type) is extremely sensitive to temperature differences. When cold air blows directly onto the probe, the sensor resistance fluctuates instantly, and the machine misjudges it as refrigerant leakage, resulting in a false alarm. Dust and water vapor are blown into the probe by the wind, and the wind carries water vapor and dust to attach to the sensing core, interfering with the sensor signal and causing false alarms
